🏗️ Framing Plan

Floor Framing Plan Generator

Lay out a rectangular floor's structural framing from the column grid. Enter the floor size and the number of bays, choose the beam direction and spacing, and the app draws the framing plan (columns, girders and infill beams), builds a member schedule (counts, lengths, total run), and — with floor loads — gives a typical interior beam's factored load, moment and a preliminary depth.

① Floor size

② Column grid

Bay sizes are computed as b x = L x ⁄ n x and b y = L y ⁄ n y. A column sits at every grid intersection.

③ Beam framing

Beams are evenly spaced inside each bay; the actual spacing is adjusted to fit a whole number of beams.
For the preliminary beam depth d ≈ span ⁄ ratio. Default 16.

④ Floor loads (optional — for the beam load & depth)

Slab self-weight + finishes + ceiling/MEP + partitions.
NSCP 2015 occupancy minimum (e.g. office 2.4, assembly 4.8). Confirm in the table.

⚠️ Preliminary layout only. This is a planning / quantity-take-off aid. The member counts, lengths, the typical beam load and the span/depth depth are first-pass estimates — confirm the framing and size every member by full structural design per the NSCP 2015.
