🪵 BEAM — AS GIVEN updates as you type

Tap Support and Load below to build your beam — it draws here as you type.
📐 Unit System: SI  (kN, m)
Supports & Conditions
Pick a type, then type where it is (distance from the LEFT end). Spring? Enter its k. Roller or spring sitting a bit below the beam? Enter the gap. Tap + Add for more.
Support / Hinge
Add / Edit Loads
Down = negative. A 10 kN load pushing down is −10. Location = distance from the LEFT end.
Point Loads
Applied Moments
Varying Loads
Section Properties (EI)
EI = how stiff the beam is. Keep EI = 1 if your problem wants the answer "in terms of EI". Enter the real EI to get slope in rad and deflection in mm. Springs and gaps need the real EI.
Flexural Rigidity (EI)
EI Multiplier per Part
Example: From 0 To 4, ×EI 2 → that part is 2EI. Everything else stays 1×EI. Leave empty if EI is the same for the whole beam.

⚠️ Review before you solve

Solving will charge — EP. Please double-check your beam first so you don't spend points by mistake:

  • Each support is the right type (pin / roller / fixed / hinge) and location.
  • Every load — point, moment, and distributed — has the correct value, direction (sign), and location.
  • Section (EI) is set the way you want. Springs, gaps, and 2EI parts need the real EI.
⚠️ About the EboraBot Scanner

You don't need to scan. Scanning is optional — you can always tap Support and Load and enter the beam yourself for free. EboraBot just uses AI to fill in your beam (the supports and loads) so you don't have to type it by hand. It inputs the beam for you; it does not solve it.

  • It can misread a number, a load direction, a support type, or a location — treat every value it fills in as a first draft.
  • You must visually check everything against your figure and fix anything wrong.
  • Only after you've verified it do you tap Solve.
  • Scanning (10 EP) and solving (10 EP) are charged separately, so review carefully before you solve.
