๐ชจ Soil Sample Scanner
Snap or upload a photo of a soil sample โ an in-situ cut face, a jar/bag sample, or a hand specimen โ and EboraBot does an indicative visual-manual soil identification: a best-guess USCS group symbol and soil name, the rough constituent breakdown, color, grain character, moisture, plasticity estimate, and which field tests to run next. An indicative aid per ASTM D2488 โ not a lab classification.

Before you scan
EboraBot looks at your soil photo and gives an indicative visual-manual identification โ a best-guess USCS symbol, constituents, and field tests to run. Heads up:
- Costs 8 EP per scan (the vision step reads the whole sample).
- It is indicative, not a lab classification โ a definitive USCS group needs sieve analysis + Atterberg limits (ASTM D2487), which a photo cannot give.
- Take a clear, well-lit, close-up shot with something for scale (a coin or ruler) if you can. Crop to just the soil.
- Always confirm with lab testing before any engineering decision.
